Why Professional Dog Obedience Training Can Help Your Dayton Dog
Professional obedience training can help owners build clearer communication, more consistent routines, and practical handling skills. The results depend on the dog, the selected program, and continued owner participation.

Improved Recall and Handling
Practicing recall, leash manners, and impulse control can support safer handling around traffic, open doors, wildlife, and other dogs. Training should progress from controlled settings to more distracting environments.

Clearer Communication
Professional instruction can help owners use consistent cues, timing, and expectations, making it easier for dogs to understand and respond.

Owner Confidence
Learning how to handle commands and equipment can help owners feel more prepared during walks, household routines, and other everyday situations.

Practice Around Distractions
Depending on the selected program, dogs may practice obedience around people, dogs, sounds, movement, and other controlled distractions. Reliability varies by dog, environment, and continued owner practice.
Continued practice at home plays an important role in maintaining and building upon the skills introduced during professional training.

Our Proven Dog Training Process

Step 1: Free Phone Consultation
Every training journey starts with a conversation. During your free phone consultation, we'll discuss your dog's behavior, training goals, home environment, and specific challenges, such as reactivity, poor recall, biting, difficulty leaving the house calmly, or puppy concerns. This is your opportunity to ask questions, understand the available options, and receive guidance from the Dayton team.

Step 2: Customized Training Plan
Based on the consultation, the team can recommend an available option based on your dog's age, health, temperament, behavior history, current obedience, and your training goals. The selected program determines the commands, equipment, duration, and owner instruction included. Ask the trainer to explain the methods and tools used before enrolling.

Step 3: Professional Training Implementation
You and your dog work with a professional trainer according to the selected program. Training may include rewards, marker concepts, leash guidance, structured repetition, and e-collar work in packages where an e-collar is included. Depending on the program, practice may progress from foundational commands to work around people, dogs, sounds, movement, and other controlled distractions.

Step 4: Owner Education and Ongoing Support
Training continues through owner practice after the program. The 2 Week Board & Train includes a two-hour one-on-one owner session explaining the dog's commands and proper handling. Continued practice can help maintain and build upon the skills introduced during training. Ask about the owner instruction, lifetime refreshers, and follow-up options included with your selected package.
Success Stories from Dayton Dog Owners
“We just picked up our 6 month old German Shepard from her 2 week board and train. The difference in her is unbelievable! Chris did an amazing job with teaching her all of her commands and even a few extra since she learned them so quickly. Before she would not listen very well and now I can feel confident that she is going to follow what I need her to do! We received multiple pictures and an update daily on her progress and Chris went over everything with us during her pickup. “
Shelby Current
“We signed up for the Two Week board and train. It’s been a little over a week that we’ve got our dog back and I’m blown away. I dropped off an insecure pup and what I got back was a more confident pup. Our trainer was Avery Anderson, and I can’t begin to thank her enough for the work she put in training our Lucy. “
