Our Board and Train Process

Step 1: Initial Consultation

Every Board & Train journey begins with a free phone consultation. We discuss concerns such as jumping, pulling, poor recall, reactivity, and inconsistent obedience, along with your dog's history and your training goals. The team can then explain the available programs and recommend an option that may fit your situation.

Step 2: Drop-Off and Assessment

When your dog arrives, the trainer begins working with the commands and expectations included in the selected package. The dog's current obedience, responses, temperament, and training history may influence how those skills are introduced and practiced. Owners should discuss significant behavioral or health concerns before the program begins.

Step 3: Intensive Training Period

During the program, the trainer practices the commands and manners included in the selected package. The 1 Week Freedom program focuses on recall, sit, place, and household manners. The 2 Week Board & Train adds extended commands, loose-leash and off-leash walking, recall around distractions, and additional real-world obedience work.

Step 4: Owner Education and Pick-Up

Training continues through owner practice after the dog returns home. The 2 Week Board & Train includes a two-hour one-on-one session explaining the dog's commands and proper handling. Continued practice can help maintain and build upon the skills introduced during training. Ask about the owner education, refresher options, and follow-up support included with any other package.

Customer Testimonials

Rated 5 out of 5

Roger did a great job with our German Shepard pup Eve.  She struggled with running off and play biting.  After a week board and train she is a more confident and obedient member of our family.  He did a great job keeping us updated with daily pictures and videos.  Highly recommend the program for anyone looking to instill good behavior.

Chance did an amazing job training Kevin! It has been a life changer and I couldn’t be more thankful. Kevin is so well behaved now. He doesn’t jump, no more counter surfing, and no more pulling on walks! His recall is outstanding and he’s able to be outside off leash and I know he will stay close and come to me when I call him. Best money I’ve ever spent! I highly recommend Off Leash K9 Training, you won’t regret it. Thank you so much Chance!
